Central A&M Middle School

Welcome, Raiders!

I would like to personally welcome you to Central A&M Middle School.  Our goal is simple, to empower and celebrate excellence in each of our students.

This is my first year as the principal at CAMMS, and I am thrilled to be a part of Raider Nation.  As a graduate of Central A&M, and a resident of Assumption, I have been a part of this community all of my life.  Following high school, I attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and graduated with degrees in Special Education, Elementary Education, and Communication Disorders and Sciences.  After teaching special education for several years and graduating with my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Illinois at Springfield, I took on a position as a Transition Specialist, helping students plan for their future goals.  Most recently, I taught Junior High Reading and Geography, as well as coordinated an Alternative Education program.  I look forward to sharing my unique skill set, experience, and talents with the students, families, and staff of this community.  On a personal level, my husband Brian, and our two year old, George, share in my excitement to be an active part of Central A&M.

It is my goal as principal of Central A&M Middle School to give students and families the personal attention they deserve while working with community stakeholders to provide the best learning experience possible.  My door is always open, and I am happy to visit with community members to hear thoughts and ideas for our school.  At Central A&M, we are able to provide academic excellence, while instilling home town values in our students, it is important to me to carry on our strong tradition of success.

It's good to be home.
