Winter Weather
Hello Raider Nation! Winter Weather has started back up again, which brings with it the potential that school may be canceled. The decision to cancel school is never an easy one and one that is not taken lightly. Student safety is our top priority and is always the basis for our decisions. If we feel that we can safely transport the students to school we will be in session. Sometimes school is canceled due to the temperature and more importantly wind chill. We have some students that walk to school and many students who wait outside at a bus stop and due to frigid wind chill there are times when even standing outside for 3-5 minutes can be extremely dangerous. Please help us keep your children safe by making sure they are dressed appropriately for the weather.
In the event that school needs to be canceled, we will try to let you know as soon as we can. You can stay informed of school cancellations through local TV and radio stations as well as watching for phone and/or email notifications, and we are always prompt about posting it on the Raider Facebook and Twitter pages.
